My use case is simple and I have to assume common: My company got acquired by another company that also uses Jira. I now need to migrate projects from our Jira Cloud account to theirs without overwriting everything in theirs. Is this possible?

I created a backup of our Jira Cloud account but there doesn't seem to be a way to import it without overwriting everything in the target Jira account, which seems crazy. Is there no equivalent of the Jira Server Project Import tool for Jira Cloud?

You may want to check out this page from Atlassian - Merge multiple instances of Jira Cloud

Merging multiple sites and importing single projects from another cloud site is not currently a supported feature in Jira Cloud. However, there are workarounds available.
