I was reading this page on the do's and don'ts when migrating a team managed type project to company managed. Apart of the custom types, fields and statuses, I'd like to understand how do the:
- Story Points/Estimate work or how to migrate that data without losing it
- What about the checklists associated to the ticket does that get moved over too and are there any catches there?
- what about the test plans/test cases (we are using Xray).
Also, I was seeing this youtube video and if you hear the video from 11:14 mins to 11:56 mins, the narrator is talking about setting the a default Epic title. I thought the Retain checkbox at the side should do the trick without this hack.

I went ahead and gave the migration a shot for a project that had the above.
- the only way to have the story points estimation saved is to take a backup in an excel before migration
- checklists associated with tickets also do get moved
- so do test plans and test cases (since they are tickets) when you select all during the migration steps they too get carried to the new board.
The only loss of information noticed apart of story points/estimation is Fix Versions, the Releases created do not get copied over, so one will need to recreate those versions (especially the on-going ones) in the new board and then retag the relevant tickets to that. (Took a backup of this as well in the excel extract so i know which tickets need to be tagged to which versions)
