Hello everyone, I hope you can help me.
We want to migrate or export some projects we have in one account to another account.
Do you know where or how to migrate or import the information? Will there be any limitations if the new account is a free version?
Thxs a lot
Hi @Claudia María Caldera Hermosillo
Yes, you can migrate or export your projects from one Jira account to another using the built-in tools in Jira. You can refer to this page for details on how to migrate the projects. Additionally, there is a page that provides information on the limitations of a free Jira account.
Jira’s native migration tool involves downtime, and if there are any plugin migrations, they need to be checked based on individual plugins.
On the other hand, using an Agile API-based migration solution ensures smooth migration with zero downtime and no data loss. You may refer to an article on Atlassian community that walks through the key considerations before migrating to Jira Cloud, benefits of migration, getting started and choosing the right migration approach for successful migration in detail:
OpsHub an Atlassian Partner, has extensive experience in undertaking complex migration projects ensuring zero downtime, no data loss, systematic cut-over and factory approach. Feel free to reach out to us for an initial complimentary consultation on migration planning with our solutions architects.
Thanks,
OpsHub team
Hi, Sagi from Salto.io here.
If you want to copy the project's configuration, you can check out our SaaS product.
Salto allows you to move configurations between any two accounts. You can move the entire project or cherry-pick specific elements within the project.
You can find a demo of this use case in this video, we offer a 30-day free trial so feel free to check it out.
