Hi

We have a server version of Jira that we are planning to migrate to a Cloud version the migration seem straight forward, but my question relates to Atlassian Access and whether we really need to purchase this. Previously we have used our active directory (AD) to manage logins. is it possible to still use this to access the cloud version without Atlassian Access? We also have Duo, and its documentation has a connection to Atlassian either via Duo Access Gateway or SSO hosted by Duo. The question is if there are these two methods by Duo, is Atlassian Access still needed?

Hello @Mehul Varambhia as far as I can tell, yes you will need access in order to use sso. I'm not familiar with duo but you certainly need it if you will use active directory.

No, you will need Atlassian Access if you wish to use your AD accounts.  If you read through https://duo.com/docs/atlassian-cloud you'll see the warning box near the top that states you need Access for SSO
