Hello!
In our test project we have defined test set and test. We have added the test in the corresponding test set.
We are doing a migration test from one jira cloud to another jira cloud instance.
When we do the migration, the test sets and the test are migrated correctly, but the test sets do not have the test that correspond to them added.
Is there a way to get them to be added when migrating?
If you already migrated and your link type is not recognized If you are on this position it means you will probably have two Link Types one called "Tests" and the other "Test", where "Tests" is the one that was migrated from Onpremise and its the one currently used to link requirements to Tests but its not recognized by Xray on CLoud.
- Delete the entry Test ( Tests - is tested by) - This should have been the one generated by Xray and no issues using it.
- Rename the Link type "Tests" that was imported from OnPremise to the same name as the one deleted - Bare in mind this needs to be exactly the same (name, inward and outward)
- Go To healthcheck ( it should give a error saying its missing the Link Type)
- Click Reinstall
There is some cache associated with this as such you might have to wait until a hour to xray recognizes in full the Link Type. As such you might need to wait for a bit until the healthcheck gives you full green.
Pre conditions have been properly handled for been compatible with Atlassian Cloud.X-ray uses 'Pre-Condition' issue type On-Premise while in Cloud uses 'Precondition'. Issues need to be moved/update accordingly.
Projects in the scope of scripts have been Re-indexed.
The types of tests in Cloud musts contain all test types that will be sync ( Default are : Generic , Cucumber and Manual )

Hello!
We do not bind test sets and tests with the standard JIRA binding types, but instead include test cases in the test set itself. This is because the tests are going to be automated and the automation tool requires it to be so in order to load the runs automatically.
As much as we have researched and tested, there has been no way that the migration will perform this binding. And finally we have chosen to make the link between "test set" and "test" once the migration is finished using the XRAY APIs.
Another thing, we do not carry out the migration, but a restoration of the database of the other domain, which according to our analysis is more complete than the migration.
All the best

do you use some application for test management? There’s no such thing as test and test set in Jira by default, so it is not possible to help without additional information how these were created. Thank you.

Thank you.
If I remember it correctly, Xray uses standard Jira issue links to link tests and test sets. These should be migrated.
Have you tried to contact vendor of Xray about this?
