Modify "Log Work" screen Tempo with custom fields

Hi!

I want to add a field to the screen of the Log Work of the plugin Tempo

Under the field "Description" I wold like to add a select-list field named "Location", where the developer will select "on_site" or "remote" to explain where he/she had work (in the office or at home).

I would that this field could be saved in the tables worklog of the database (I have to add this columns to the db).

Have you got any ideas about it??

Hi Marco,

Tempo cannot add fields into the JIRA Worklogs table. This table in the database is fixes, and can only be augmented by Atlassian.

Tempo solves the problem by offering Worklog Attributes (http://wiki.tempoplugin.com/display/TEMPO/Configuring+Worklog+Attributes) which show up in the Tempo Reports (http://wiki.tempoplugin.com/display/TEMPO/Reports) and in the XML and Excel exports of worklogs (http://wiki.tempoplugin.com/display/TEMPO/Tempo+Servlet+Manual#TempoServletManual-GetWorklogs).

This solves your requirements - apart from your wish to store the data in the same datebase as the worklog. Tempo provides adequate abstraction for this technical detail to be irrelevant for most users.
