Hello everyone
We recently move to Jira on cloud. We hired a consultant to import everything from jira on prem to jira on cloud and so far so good. However, there is one thing that we are facing we would like to know we do these changes.
We would like standardize the display of the users. Some are as this j.bourne, Jason Bourne or Bourne, Jason. Which makes it difficulte to find a user when shown in alphabetiacally.
Now is there a way do modify the display all at once to the same standard which would be lastname, firstname?
Also, when importing from LDAP, is there a also to standardize the display name, because each import of a new user in Jira the display name is different?
Thank you.
Hi @Perry Santos , thanks for your question.
You will only be able to suggest changes to the Managed Accounts that you have in your cloud site. Please see the documentation for this here - https://support.atlassian.com/user-management/docs/make-changes-to-a-managed-user-account/
If you are new to the cloud, I would highly reccomend completing some of the training for the ACP-520, which explains very thoroughly how to adminster Atlassian products in the cloud, which is very different from server / DC - https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Training-Certification-articles/How-to-prepare-for-ACP-520-Atlassian-Cloud-Organization-Admin/ba-p/2441713
Hope this helps you.
Cheers
