Morning, i transition a ticket from todo to in progress, it goes to the column however, it gets marked as done. Any help would be appreciated.

Check the transition to the In Progress status to see if there is a post function that is setting the Resolution field.
Also, what type of project it is it and is there a Done column as the last column on your board?
Software type and yes i do have a done column.

Does this happen when you use the board to transition only, or when you transition the issue from the issue view as well?
If it's the former some boards are configured to action a change in the issue. In the second case, it might be a post function or an automation incorrectly configured.
