Moving epic/issues between groups in structure

Hi,

I have added user stories and epics to a structure board using the "insert" generator and then added another generator rule to group those issues by some custom field.

I got the results I wanted and selected to allow moving items between groups but when I try to do that I can the following error message:

Corresponding changes via Structure are not allowed. You were moving issue xxxxxxxx

What am I doing wrong?

At the moment, Structure Cloud does not support updating fields by drag and drop between Groups. It is something we are working on though and we are adding your interest to our dev task. We will be sure to follow up as soon as it is available.

As a workaround, for now, you can add a column to your structure with this field. Structure allows for inline editing, so you can update the field in the column and Structure will then move it to its new group.

Hi, Hila.  I suspect you used to use Structure in a server or data center instance of Jira?  😉

This is another feature that isn't available for cloud - yet. And we cannot offer you a planned release date at this time.

There are significant differences in the underlying Jira between the cloud and on-prem. editions.  In some cases, this means we have to reinvent the features you may have been used to in the on-prem editions of our products. 

We prioritize that work based on customer feedback, so, thank you!  And please keep it coming.
