hi,
I am the owner of 2 instances of jira software on cloud.
I want to move 3 projects from 1 instance to another one.
Is there a way to achieve this?
Hi @Asha
You could also consider using this option: https://support.atlassian.com/migration/docs/perform-a-cloud-to-cloud-migration-for-jira/
It's a Cloud-to-Cloud migration tool for Projects (although it is in beta at this point).

Hi @Asha ,
There are multiple methods to do this. One method is
Let's say you have two Jira Cloud sites: Jira Cloud A and Jira Cloud B. You want to move all or some projects from Jira Cloud B to Jira Cloud A (your destination site) so you can have a single, consolidated cloud site. To do this you’ll need to:
Install the latest version of Jira Data Center. You can do this by generating a free trial license from my.atlassian.com. Note that Jira Data Center trial licenses last for 30 days. If you need more time to complete your migration, licenses can be extended to 90 days upon request.
Create a backup of Jira Cloud B. This will contain the users and projects you want to import to Jira Cloud A. Note that team-managed projects aren’t available in Jira Data Center and will need to be converted into company-managed projects for the backup to work using this method.
Import your data from Jira Cloud B to Jira Data Center.
Use the Jira Cloud Migration Assistant to import your users and projects from Jira Data Center to Jira Cloud A.
Refer https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/merge-multiple-instances-of-jira-cloud-779160767.html for different steps and Limitations.

Thanks everyone.
For now, I did the .csv import and it is ok. However, if I need to move bigger projects, I will use one of the above suggestions.
thanks/asha

@Asha hi! Glad to know you've managed to resolve the issue so fast. In case you have bigger migration projects and do not mind taking a look at some 3rd party solutions, check out ZigiOps. It can help you connect and sync the Jira instances (their data). You can customize it o transfer/migrate just the data you desire from either of the instances to the other. No limitations. Feel free to look at ZigiOps, as an option.
Regards, Diana (ZigiOps team)

Hi @Asha
We have a Backup & Restore app in the Atlassian Marketplace, we are in the process of releasing a beta version of moving data from one cloud instance to another. Think of all the steps that @Rilwan Ahmed is suggesting, but we will automate them for you without having to move data to a data center or server instance. In addition we will be providing you with granular options of what you want to move, which the cloud-to-cloud migration tool does not provide. Let me know if you are interested in trying it out.
Thank you
