Multi remote object link

I have created a custom field of "multi remote object link" data type. Also added it to the screen. But on the UI I am getting an error saying "Custom Field configuration not set" 

How to resolve this error?

My purpose of using this field is that I want to associate Multiple records from other systems to a single JIRA issue.

Is there any other way possible to achieve this functionality?

Is it based on Add-on?

All I know is that I was able to create a Custom field of the above said type in my Trial account of JIRA and now I need to customize it?

Is it possible/Feasible at all? If yes, then how can I achieve the same?

I don't know, I don't know what add-on it is coming from.
