Multiple Cloud Instances on Standard Plan

pedro.o January 6, 2023

Hi all,

I know these questions have been asked but I can't find a clear answer to my question....

We currently have a cloud instance of Jira, if we wanted to open up another one, would we be able to log into it with the same SSO'd account? For example have users with @acme.com in both instances and SSO'd? Or are we only allowed to have @acme.com in one of these instances?

We would be running Standard plan on both of these instances.

Thanks!

Hi @pedro.o

I assume you mean using Atlassian Access?

If yes - then yes. You can link multiple instances to one Atlassian Access organization.

The instances themselves will be separate (i.e separate user access management, separate billing, etc) - but the SSO/SAML management will go via one Atlassian Access organization that all sites are linked to.

There shouldn't be an issue with logins.

both instances will be separate and their users will still be unique even though it's the same emails.

each instance will have its own login page URL, and from there , you'll have a standard login process
