Hi, I've been searching for the best solution here but nothing has quite worked out, hoping someone can help.
We have multiple testers in our team and at the moment we are either relying on either developers to manually assign a tester to a Story when it's ready for test or testers to constantly check the Jira swimlane to see which tasks are in testing.
Instead we would like to notify all testers when a Story is moved to In Testing. Then as a tester has available capacity, they can assign themselves to tasks.
What would be the best way to do this?
Thanks,
To all the more recent recommendations, you can consider SLA Time and Report.
It can be useful for you if you also want to track your team's efficiency by setting SLA. It let you set SLA condition, time goals, and automation actions like a notification, changing assignee, status, or priority.
Hope it will be useful for you
Regards
You can create a group, assign all the testers to the group, then set the group to receive notifications when the transition occurs so they all get notified. You may want to create a new Event so that you can assign it to this transition and setup it to that group and any one else you wish to know it is ready for testing.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
You can create an Automation rule so that when a story is transitioned to "In Testing", an email notification should be sent to particular users/ group (testers in your scenario).
Once this is enabled, your need should be fulfilled.
