Hey guys,
Recently transitioned to company-managed projects. My team can't complete or start a sprint. I updated the permissions for manage sprints however the complete and start sprint button is still greyed out with an error message.
Hi @Rebecca Boateng , welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Are the users seeing this definitely associated to the correct project role/group associated with the Manage Sprints permission in the permission scheme used by the project?
If your sprint pulls in issues from multiple projects, the users will need to have this permission in the permission schemes associated with all said projects
Hi Callum ,
Yes they are. I updated their permissions and they are still unable to start or complete sprints.
The issues were migrated from a team-managed project to a company-managed project.

Hi Rebecca - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Are you sure you got the appropriate permission scheme updated? You should be able to go to the Permission Scheme (you will will nee to be a Jira Administrator, not just a Project Admin), and then use the Permission Helper for the username of the person trying to start the sprint and the Manage Sprints permission (and just choose any issue on that project).

Yup! I also used the Permission Helper to check the user's permissions. They do have the correct permissions but the error message remains the same. I think the issue may lay in the fact that the issues in this project were migrated from a team-managed project.

Ah, that could be. I suggest you open a support ticket with Atlassian. Please post back here with the resolution of the ticket so we can have for future readers who might incur the same problem. Good Luck!
