We have an epic along with a series of associated improvements. Our objective is to gather all tasks and subtasks connected to these improvements, which are in turn linked to the epic. Despite our current attempts, the query we've employed for this purpose is not yielding the desired results. Any assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated.

type in (Task, Sub-task) and "Parent Link" in ('"Parent Link" = XXX')

You may need to use the fields "Parent" and "Epic Link" (as opposed to Parent Link) - though Atlassian is changing how these fields operate currently.  Parent is going to be used for all parent/child linking when the changes are complete, but queries that use epic link will continue to function for some time after that.
