Need info about pre-populating a template in JIRA Description field on create issue screen

I wanted to know if there is any way to pre-populate a text in the "Description" field of JIRA on the create issue screen?

You could try dirty javascript hacks, but I'd recommend not doing it.  I've dealt with several projects that have templated text in descriptions and found they have hundreds of issues with just the template - the users not bothering to put anything in at all.  A better approach might be to put a message field on the screen containing the example for them to copy and paste, or at least explain what they should be filling in (JIRA Toolkit add-on can do this)
