Need to customize Jira Home page

customize the JIRA home page and add information so that users know whom to contact in case of issues with their login or other jira related queries

Hello,

you need to be an administrator and go to JIra Administartion -> System -> Edit Settings and update Introduction at your convenience as html.

Moreover, if you need to add some info as Banner you can add HTML code into JIRA Administration -> System -> Announcement Banner

You need to do exactly what Fabio has already described - go into the Admin section -> System -> Settings and edit the value set for "introduction"

When you go in there, you'll see it already has the line of text you can see in the introduction box.

I'd add a "text gadget" to the system dashboard, containing the details you need - it will appear to non-logged in users hitting the main home page. (You may need to enable the gadget in the list of installed plugins)
