I added a new drop-down field to bugs, stories and tasks in my team managed Jira project. When I try to go and bulk edit this field, it doesn't appear as an option to edit. It shows on the issue page, I can use it to in a search and it appears as a column when I configure a table.
Is bulk editing not available to custom fields in team managed projects?
This works fine in an older, org-managed project...
Eh, I found the answer -- it might be useful to others. In a team-managed project, custom fields are individually added to each issue type. Because of this, bulk changing multiple types together run into trouble with the similarly named, but different fields.
So I modified the search to only include ONE issue type at the time, and the fields appeared. I have to run this separately for Bugs, Stories and Tasks, but it still saves me time.

Another answer I found is that the field had different contexts for different projects. In this case, you need to update the projects that have each context separately.
