New install - MySql 5.7 or 8.0>

Is there a reason to use one version or the other.  Any pro/cons?

Hi @ronald Lagle ,

In general, I would go for the latest version  then you don't have to update to a new again short term. 

And there are a lot of new features in MySQL 8

But you should check the supported platforms for the  version you want to install to be sure its supported.
