New user - How do I create a filter to be used on a Kanban Board that I am creating?

Hi @Doug Myers 

On Jira Cloud (hopefully it's similar if you're on Server/Data Center):

• Open the Filters pulldown in the top menu bar
• Select Advanced issue search
• Build the filter to get the list of issues you want
  • You can try this is Basic mode or Advanced/JQL mode - even Advanced/JQL mode is pretty straightforward
  • The docs are pretty good:
    • Basic Search
    • Advanced/JQL Search
• Once you have the list of issues you want, click Save as (top left)
• Give your filter a name and click Submit
• When prompted for the filter name during board creation, use the one you just created
