After the New view had been applied, there was added "Description Area", and "Primary Fields".
They are can be configured in "Issue Layout" section in Project Settings. But it is unavailable adding a field in section "Description Area". I can only change fields order. If it is a feature it's very strange and uncomfortably.
Or maybe you know how to configure it?

Please lift this restriction. We have a tone of context fields that would like to move to the description area. most of our tickets are completely empty and the right sidebar completely packed with information. We love the ability to query discrete information. but why do we need to be limited in the amount of screen that we can utilize? It really impacts user experience and the perception that our team has on the application.
Hi @Leonardo Sanchez ,
Please review the the Implementation of New Features Policy page for details on how this process work.
However, in short, you may want to:
Also, please notice that 2 of the 3 feature requests mentioned above are already implemented:
The one still standing is:

Hi! The solution I found and is working for me is to have my custom field as a "Text Field (multi-line)". That way you can add it in the "Descriptive" area.
Important: If your custom field is "Text Field (single-line)" you cannot add it to the "Descriptive" area.

Hello
I'd like to add a separate Background field in there. The right-hand side is no use to me as packed with information and too narrow.

Hi @Егоров Виктор ,
If I understand correctly, you do have the description area in the issue layout settings, but you are unable to add new fields in there. You can only change the order of the fields that are already there.
If this is correct, then it can be the case that you are trying to add a field that is not a multi-line text field since, as written in the Configure field layout in the issue view documentation page:
Description area
This section is reserved for custom multi-line text fields, similar to the built-in description field. You can reorder or hide these fields, but you can't move them to the primary or secondary areas.
Can you kindly let us know if this is the case or provide more details otherwise?
Cheers,
Dario

Hi @Dario B , you are absolutly right. I was trying to add field, which wasn't not multi-line text. When i did this, it wasn't clear.
Ok, now i undestand what is happening. But i don't understand this restriction.
In one hand, i have some important fields, which i want to see in Description area. This information really important, and logically this is piece of task description. But these fields are displayed at right column, which becames too long!
In other hand, now i have non-important multi-line fields, that shows on Description area, and steal my attention.
I would like to be able to independently decide which fields to display in the primary part of the screen, and which in the secondary

Hi @Егоров Виктор ,
I am not sure what's the logic behind this decision but, as you can see by looking at the below 2 Feature Requests, before it was actually not possible to add a multi-line text field to the description section but only to the right hand side of the issue view:
Searching around I have also found a feature request asking to have the possibility to add other custom fields between the description and the comments (that's the description section):
You may want to vote and watch the above feature request in order to get updates on its status. You may also want do add a comment or to provide your feedback on this by clicking on your avatar picture in Jira Cloud (bottom left side) and click on "Give Feedback":
I hope this helps.
Have a nice weekend,
Dario
