Next Gen Project - Assign epic when creating an issue

When using the default "Create issue" dialog for Next Gen projects, is there a way to assign the Epic/Parent to that issue from that dialog?

Currently, after creating a new issue, I must go into that issue and manually edit the Epic as a Parent at the top of the issue detail screen's breadcrumb-thingy.

I like for there be a way to do this too!  It's really annoying to be able to fill in everything except that field on task creation.

I find it easier to use the backlog with the project panel open - you can drag tasks to projects to add them to the project.  It's less of a pain than using the issue detail screen, but still a pain.
