Not able to complete sprint

Hi there,

We have recently completed a sprint - all stories and child issues have been marked as 'Done'. A few days ago, when I clicked on 'Complete sprint', the usual pop-up with the award ribbon displays. When I clicked 'Complete sprint' on the pop-up, an error notification displays on the bottom left: Something's gone wrong. Refresh the page and try again.

This is consistent across my team member's accounts, i.e. they have the same issue. I have logged out and back into my account to no avail.

Today I decided to try again. The award ribbon pop-up shows, but this time there's no error message at the bottom. The page refreshes on its own, but nothing happens - the sprint is still there. We are now past the sprint start and end dates - would this have an effect on being able to complete the sprints?

Hi Genevieve, that certainly seems odd and buggy. Can you try to search for issues using advanced search for any issues that have the specific sprint value.

for example - sprint = mysprint 

sort by status. Do you see any issue not in a status that equates to the right-most column of your board?

what do you mean by the “award ribbon pop-up”? Can you share.

you may be best served by contacting Atlassian Support as they can log into your instance and assess.

Hi Jack, I did the advanced search as suggested and filtered to the problematic sprint. True enough, several child issues that aren't supposed to be there appeared, and they weren't in the final-stage status. It's strange because the parent issue of these child issues is in a future sprint, so I'm not even sure why there were appearing in the current sprint.

To cut a long story short, I resolved the problem by deleting these rogue child issues, and i could end the sprint.

Maybe you don't have the permission to complete the sprint . So that may be one of the reason . Please check whether you have the correct permission to complete the Sprint .
