I am trying to import a csv file from our old system and the user guide says there should be an option - Select 'Administration' > 'System' > 'Import & Export' > 'External System Import' > 'Comma-separated values (CSV)'. But all I am seeing is Administration' > 'System' > 'Jira Import'.
I am logged in as admin. Please help!
Hi Priya,
you can access the url directly: <your_instance_url>/secure/admin/views/CsvSetupPage!default.jspa?externalSystem=CSV
Thanks.
Importing CSV into JIRA via the direct URL doesn't seem to allow for mapping to the following JIRA fields
- Parent ID
- Issue ID
- Component(s)
- Time Spent
I would expect these fields to be available because they are common JIRA fields and are in the documentation for the CSV Importer.
Has anyone else had this issue?

Sounds like you may be a JIRA admin but not a system administrator.

Yeah,
For JIRA OnDemand just Atlassian is System Administrator - hence there are some hidden features.
The CSV importer, for example, is only accessible through the direct url.
