Not able to see full features of jira

I am new to jira. Bought the cloud version last week.Trying to learn of some videos.
I created a project , but not able to see full features within the project.

Few missing features are : ability to edit board, not able to see options to fix versions.

Hello,

There is a possibility, that you created an Agility project. These projects are called independent projects. They can be created not by Jira admins, but by other users as well. 

If you are a Jira admin, you should choose another template while creating a project.

To edit a board, open the board > click the board button > click configure.
