I keep getting the following error message when trying to run Jira from my Mac.

Configured jira.home '/Users/blynch/JIRA' must not be a parent directory of the webapp servlet path '/Users/blynch/JIRA/atlassian-jira-6.2.6-standalone/atlassian-jira'

Any idea why this might be happening??

Jira needs an installation directory and a home data directory.

You must NOT put the installation directory anywhere within the home data directory, it breaks things. Create separated out directories for them (e..g /users/blynch/jira/Home and /users/blynch/jira/install )

Heya Brighid,

Could you try to create a separate folder for JIRA home? For example, /Users/blynch/JIRA/Home and set the JIRA home in that Home folder.

This is due to JIRA installation folder(atlassian-jira-6.2.6-standalone) will be inside the JIRA home folder.

Hope this helps.
