Once again, Jira mentions not working.

Within our Jira account, attempts to use the at sign (mention) feature is not working.

It appears to be working here, but in our actual Jira account it fails to recognize any team members... it just formats the @ as if it's a link and when submitted no text (including the at sign) fail to render. Apparently this isn't effecting the entire team. Just a select few. How do we go about fixing this?

You need to give Browse users and groups permission to the affected user then it will fix the issue.

Admin > System > In Security Section - Global Permissions > Grant the Permission to the Group of affected people ( At bottom of page)

Accept the answer if it helps

Hi

Not Working!!

The user  is in  jira-core-users group and "jira-core-users"  is in default into "Browse users and groups permission"

but i can't tag the user..

How I can tag the user really?

Thanks

Are you using Jira Cloud?

Do the people who are unsuccessful using the mentions feature belong to a group that have been granted the Browse Users And Groups global permissions in your Jira instance?

Are the users that are trying to be mentioned users that have access to the issue in which they are being mentioned?

Is there any commonality between the users having the problem vs. those that are not, like all those having the problem use browser X while all those not having the problem use browser Y?
