I see there are some changes comming to Parent-child links namely replacing "Parent Link" link and "Epic link" link with "Parent" link

A. Skip hierarchy level?
Currently "Parent" link is exclusively used for subtask (level -1) as child and does NOT forbid to have epic (level +1) or initiative (level +2) as parent
However both "Epic link" link and "Parent link" links do not allow to "skip" a hierarchy level.
So when all is done via "Parent" link, will it be possible to have a task level issue (level 0) as child of an initiative (level +2)?
If not, what exactly will be the restrictions? How will that behave when editing hierarchy levels? Where are these documented? What are the motivations for such restrictions?
B. Display "Parent" link as field
On top of that, I seem to be able to add "Parent Link" link and "Epic Link" link as fields on screens but not "Parent" link. What is the plan for this?
It would be nice to be able to display "Parent" as field on screen, especially on create and edit. At the moment I think we have to "move" the issue to edit the "Parent" which is very far from ideal.
