Hi,
we are using Jira initiatives. Our Jira initiatives have the Parent field.
Now I would like to select another initiative as parent of my initiative.
But when going into the parent field, the dropdown is empty. When I enter my desired parent initiative key into the parent field, it does not find it, it says no match found.
How can I add initiatives as parents to my initiative in Jira Cloud?
Thanks,
Anne
The short answer is you can't. The parent field is based on the hierarchy you have defined on your instance, and a work item can only belong to a single level, therefor you cannot set an initiative to be the parent of another initiative.
Thanks!
Why do initiatives have the parent field then though?
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
That depends on your screen scheme that you have associated with the work item. If you create a new scheme and screens you remove the parent field for initiatives.
