Plan sorted by goal, issues showing in goal and 'other' section. How do I get the issue out of other

I have set up my plan/roadmap to sort by Goal, and assigned a goal to most issues on the roadmap. Those that do not have a goal show in the other section. These are expected.

There are a subset of issues that show in both the other and their assigned goal section. I do not want them to show in 'other' and wouldn't expect them to. I thought it might have to do with children issues but some that show in both sections do not yet have any children issues

EX:

ISSUE1 has GOAL assigned no children

ISSUE2 has GOAL assigned no children

ISSUE1 is sorted only under GOAL section

ISSUE2 sorted under GOAL and 'other'

What do I need to do to get ISSUE2 only under GOAL?

I too have the same issues that are linked to a goal also appearing in the 'All other issues' section on my plan and don't expect them too. Would love any advice on how to fix this.
