Plugin install JiraOndemand

Hi,

I'm using JiraOndemand. I want to install some of the GANTT-Chart plugins. INSTALL tab it's not available. Cpoul you tell me how to activate it?

Unfortunatly, you can't install plugins as you want. Atlassian OnDemand comes with a set of pre-defined plugins, and GANTT Chart plugin is not one of them.

I don't understand why atlassian doesn't include the Gantt feature in JIRA.

Because, managing user-specific images is expensive, managing 'static' images that can be scaled out automatically is cheaper. Also, the 'support' effort in diagnosing and resolving issues related to third party plugins is I think the primary reason for the move. The future is remote apps, so dev's need to go all cloudy and setup some interesting remotely hosted apps. This changes the ballgame entirely, as 'free' no longer works, they have to run hosted, incurring cost. Remote apps offering more than trivial functionality will likely cost. Are users ready for that? time will tell.
