Is it possible to disable the edit project key functionality, so that users won't be able to edit project keys? In our setup editing project keys will break external integrations.
I haven't found any config or module that disables this, but I think your problem could be handled differently.
Since the ability to change the project key is limited to users with global admin rights, this usually isn't a problem in our implementation. We user the Project Creator plugin to allow non-admins to create projects from templates, which leaves them with admin rights in their project with the Administrator project role without giving them global admin rights.
This makes everyone happy, and there are fewer occasions for non-expert users to mess up the implementation by only giving global admin permissions to the select few who actually know what they're doing.
Hope this helps.
