Hi all,
I'd like to use post function "Update Issue Custom Field" to set the custom field "Epic Status" in my workflow so that epics I'm going to close have both "Status" and "Epic Status" set accordingly.
However, when I click "Add Post function" (for both "Simplified" and normal workflows), that post function is not listed. Regarding editing issues, all I see is "Update Issue Field", but that post function has no access to the custom fields - at least not to "Epic Status".
So, has that post function been removed? Is it a bug in Jira? How to I make that post function accessible?
Thanks in advance
Ingo
Hi @Ingo Mohr ,
the 'Update Issue Custom Field' post function actually is only available for Jira Cloud.
When dealing with Jira Server or Data Center, you'll need an additional workflow app - see https://marketplace.atlassian.com/search?category=Workflow
Cheers
Thorsten

You're welcome. However, since you have Script Runner at hand, this should do the trick then!

As far as I recall - this is not Out of the Box Post-function. It goes with JSU Automation Suite for Jira Workflows (previously Jira Suite Utilities), as per: https://beecom-products.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/JSU/pages/25680673/Update+any+Issue+Field+Post-Function

Hey PJ!
Thanks for the fast answer. Ok, then I think I'm setting up the solution w/ ScriptRunner (we don't have JSU).
I would have preferred a built-in solution for this, but apparently this never was a priority for Atlassian, then.
