It's the id of the value in the database.  Go to admin -> priorities and hover your cursor over the edit links, you should see urls with id=x in them.  E.g. Blocker = 1, Medium = 3, Dropped = 10024.  That's the number it needs.

Hello  Brough,

Thanks for your   answer  after my  work  i  found out that  the solution  you  added on the Atlassian site   is  buggy, it  will not  work  when you  change project name and back to  the same issue type. eg   Project = IT  Issue type = bug   ---->  Project = OPS  issue type = bug

I have the perfect  solution and hard work smile

Best regards,

Moses.

That's not true, but I suspect that you're actually looking at something different.

Moses Thomas February 6, 2017

You can  try to test  it for your  self  and see, change the project with one issue type lets say bug  to another project use the same issue type bug  after adding the  script  to  description of  the field  A  which you  want to  set a field B  base on the value of  field A  it will  not  work !! and it should work regardless of any  change in project my solution works whether i  change the project  or not.

Nope, works fine for me.  I still think you're looking at something different to me, I'm just following the doc.

I can see that  you  don't understand my point. let  me explain better.

    1. Click  create issue, choose a project  and issue type let say  bug  result works fine.

for a field A value chosen critical  for example  and field B  is  displayed.

Click  cancel on the  create screen.

   2. Now   change project and issue type and  then go back  to project  and the issue type you  used in step  1   for a field A value chosen critical  for example   B  is not  displayed.

I  Hope you grasp now.

Ah, yes, I do.  But I can't replicate it, it's working for me.
