Problem with a custom labels field in Navigator search - anyone seen this?

I have a custom labels field (Customers).

When I try to search using it in the Issue Navigator it doesn't present to drop down list to allow selections.

Is working with the standard labels field.

I too am having this problem and haven't been able to get it working by tinkering with the customfield xml file either. If there is a work around or fix, it would be great to know about.
