Hello,
we've set up a jira mail handler and set the author field to "mb" (a specific jira user).
But after creating the task the field author is set to the project manager.
How can we change this behaviour?
Kind regards from Germany,
Oliver
Yes, this would be ok.
But it doesn't works.
At the new tasks, the author is ever the projectleader.
what do you mean by author? reporter or assignee?
I feel like you are talking about assignee.

Oh, here in Germany it is called Autor (in english author).
For my happyness it would be nice, if both is set to mb. Reporter and assignee.

Reporter cannot be set to default mb unless you use some kind of plugin or automation. While assignee can be set to mb.
Setting assignee:
Make sure mb user exists in jira and has jira license and access to your project.
Now go to users and roles, make mb project lead and set the project default assignee to lead.

But i'm the projectleader. My user is "os".
I've tried to set two users as projectleader, but this doesnt work.

You can't have two leads. Use automation for jira plugin to set the assignee and reporter.

That's how jira mail handler works. Whoever sent the email will be reporter(author) of the ticket. If the user doesn't have valid jira license only then the Reporter will be set to 'mb'
