Hi
I tried scheduling the PowerShell backup scripts for Jira & Confluence cloud (source: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-articles/Automate-online-site-backups-for-Jira-and-Confluence-without/ba-p/1271317) with Windows Task Scheduler and it's just doesn't work. I do see in the Window Task Scheduler history that it started and stopped after few seconds. When running the scripts manually, it works. That's not my first time using Windows Task Scheduler so I know how to use it. Have anyone managed to do this and got it working? I'll be glad for some guidance
Thanks
Hello @Moshe Grinberg
Do the logs give you a pointer on why the script stopped after a few seconds?
BTW - Do you have a pointer for a script to restore the backup file?
Thanks
Vish
Hello @Moshe Grinberg ,
Troubleshooting such issues can involve various factors, from problems with configuration to some security context. Still backup is an important part of your data protection strategy.
Apart from backup scripts, you can try third-party backup & recovery tools, like GitProtect, backup solution for Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Jira Work Management. With this backup software you can automate your Jira backups saving your time and having peace of mind. You can find GitProtect of Atlassian Marketplace: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1228719/gitprotect-io-backups-for-jira-cloud?hosting=cloud&tab=overview . You can try it free and test it (free trial or free account up to 10 users).
By the way, soon we will release backup for Confluence (it's already possible to subscribe for an early access: https://gitprotect.io/confluence-backup.html )
Hope you will find this answer useful,
Daria
