Project Board Permissions Revoked

All of our Jira users are receiving a 'Permissions' issue when attempting to view a board within a project we all previously had access to. Everything was working as normal for the entire day, and then when our users went to view the board we are no longer able to see the board or access it. 

When I review the 'Boards' within the Admin privileges, I see the board is 'PRIVATE' image attached for reference also.

Any ideas how and why our users lost the permission to view the board and how we can enable it and get the board back?

If the board is showing as 'PRIVATE' means the filter which is being used in the board is not shared with you anymore. In order to view a board, the users should have access to the filter which is used by the board.

The owner of the filter can share the filter with relevant users/groups/project which should fix the issue for you.

If you are using Jira cloud instance, please submit a ticket using our Support portal by providing your Cloud site name & board name etc. We can run some SQLs in the backend and tell you what's the filter being used in the board and who owns it.

Thank you so much. This is super helpful and ended up being the issue. A user group within the board created permissions which was preventing anyone else from seeing the board and stories associated with it.
