Project Creation/ Permission Scheme/ Distribution List

Hi

I have a distribution list with a list of emails. Only those users are allowed to create the issue. What is the best practice to achieve this? I assume I should create the group with those users and grant the permission to create the issue?

Hi,

yes, Groups is one way, Project Roles is the other one. You can grant both of them permission to create issues.

Project Roles are far easier to manage, as they can be managed by Project Admins, whereas Groups can be only managed by Jira System Admins.
