Project can not create board.

In the side bar, there are lots of projects, some project with "+" icon with "create board" ability. But some project didn't have this ability. 

How can I create a sprint board that can have across project active sprint view. Now all porject with "+" works well.

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

Currently that option will be available only for Company Managed Software projects. All other projects currently support having only one board. Those other projects include:

Team Managed Software projects

Business projects, both Team and Company Managed

Service management projects, both Team and Company Managed

When you click the ... button to the right of the project name, the pop-up will show the project type at the bottom.

If you want additional boards for those other types of projects you have to

1. Create and save a filter to get the issues from that project.
2. Create a new board selecting From Saved Filter and the source for the board.

this is what I have done "Create a new board selecting From Saved Filter and the source for the board." ,  The filter could show Jira tasks from both  "Team Managed Software projects" and "Business projects, both Team and Company Managed". But the board based on the filter, it seems that the Jira tasks from "Team Managed Software projects" will not show.

Can you show us the item type hierarchy from your Team Managed Software project, from the Project Settings > Work types. Example:

Then tell os which of the item types is not displaying in the board.

Please also share with us the filter you created and use for the board.

Did you create a Scrum board or Kanban board?

Are you looking at the Board view or the Backlog view?

Do you have an Quick Filters activated in the board display?

Do you have a Group/Swimlane option set?

Can you provide a screen image of what you see?

Hello @ian chang  Welcome to the community!

The + sign to create board should be available for Jira company managed (scrum/Kanban) project not the JSM Service managed.

So to create a new board you can go to TOP search bar and there you can see a Board option at the bottom besides projects, filters etc and it will open the boards page. Click on Create board button to create a new board.
