Project lead does not receive "... commented you" mention notifications

When someone mentions me in the project which I lead, mails contain headers like;

"Someone commented on XX-YYY"

In other projects notification mails received appropriately such as:

"Someone mentioned you on ZZ-TTT"

I need to get mentioned mails as in the second case for my project, in order to filter them in my mailbox and differentiate easily. Is this a bug or am I overlooking some other configuration?

That is also valid for other projects' leaders.

Hi there,

I believe that this is an expected behavior. JIRA will not send 2 emails for the same action. Regardless if one is due to notification and the other is about the comment.

Anyway, you can set JIRA to not notify you about comments under Project Administration > Notifications. There, you can remove Project Lead from Comment event.
