Hi, I am very new to Jira, but I've seen software projects using it with already a Test Case project/folder defined. So when working on a sub-task "Create Test Case" for example, there is already a link to a Test Case project or so that allows writing the test case. This "test case project" includes a main page with columns: Steps, Data, Results, Attachment. The test project can be executed, etc.
My question is: how can I create this Test case project? All I see when I want to create a new project is: Kanban, Scrum, and 2 more for business related projects.
Hi @Rocio Katsanis welcome to the community!
To create a test case project in Jira, you can use an app/integration that adds this functionality to Jira. You can explore options in the Atlassian Marketplace.
One popular app is Xray. You can find how to implement it in detail here.
Hope the above helps!

Hi Rocio Katsanis
If you're looking to create a test case project in Jira, you might be interested in exploring test management apps that can integrate with Jira. While Jira itself doesn’t come with a built-in test case management module, there are several apps available in the Atlassian Marketplace that can add this functionality.
One option you can consider is Test Case Assistant for Jira. This app is designed to streamline the process of creating, managing test cases within Jira. It provides an intuitive interface where you can organize your test cases with steps, data, and results in clearly defined format
With Test Case Assistant for Jira, you can easily create and manage test cases with a structured layout
This tool is particularly user-friendly and integrates seamlessly with Jira, making it an excellent choice for teams new to test case management. You can try it out with a free trial and see if it meets your requirements.
If you have any further questions or need assistance, feel free to check out the documentation

Hi @Rocio Katsanis and welcome to the community!
As @TC Wang said creation of the test cases can be possible with one of the apps that are available in the marketplace.
As it happens, my team created an application for testers to manage test cases, test cycles and to perform executions. When creating your test cases you can add all your necessarily data to the columns in the QAlity Plus Test Management . Please take a look:
When your test case you can easily start the execution:
Besides functions I've mentioned there are many additional features like, for example, Test Execution Report or Traceability Report. The app is called QAlity Plus - Test Management for Jira and what makes ours stand out from the rest of the apps for testing is that our app is very easy to navigate and the price is moderate.
I encourage you to try it. You have 30 days of free trial to check if it meets your requirements. The app is free up to 10 users. If you have any questions please go to this link. I will be happy to help!
Kind regards,
Michał

Thank you for your reply. My company has decide to use RTM. But we are testing it. I'll keep QAlity Plus as an option in case RTM does not fulfill our interests.
