Ranking issues within a Search Results View

Janani J February 4, 2019

Hello, I have pulled issues across multiple projects (with a specific label and saved the search), for the sake of upcoming release planning. I would like to rank issues within this view. Each of my individual projects are 'enabled for ranking'. Drag drop functionality does not work in the saved Search Results view.

Hello,

Sorting by the Rank field works on Boards, what you can do is to setup a Board based on that filter you already saved, so you can drag and drop issues to reorder them.

but a word of caution here. If the teams are also using ranking on the individual boards you will be changing their ranking potentially and vice-versa. Be sure to discuss w/ the individual teams. At least this is my understanding I haven't played w/ cross board ranking for a some time now.

Jack, you are absolutely right. It did reprioritize the issues within the source board. Thanks for pointing out that caveat.

Thank you Jose Leon. I followed your advice and created a board out of that saved filter and I think I am all set now. Thanks so much again.
