By mistake, I dragged the 'hold' column to the right hand side of my board, and now Jira seems to think it is the 'done' column, even though I have moved it back to the left.
I have tried dragging the columns around, dragging the real 'done' column to the left then back to the right, and I can't seem to get the check to change.
Appreciate any help on resolving this (seemingly simple) issue
I’m with Warren here. This is odd. Mine works as expected. I recommend you reach out to Atlassian support to have them login and take a look.
Thank you very much for assisting. I rebooted my computer and tried the next day and it worked as expected. It was nerve-wracking for a while as it was a very active project, but all is good now.
I use Google Chrome.

First off it's useful to know that this is a Next-Gen project, not a classic one (which I gathered from your screenshot).
What's happening with you is strange, because as soon as I drag any column to be the right hand one, or drag the right hand one to the left, whichever column remains as the right most one gets the tick for "done".
I'll try to get some advice from Atlassian on this for you.

I've been in contact with someone from Atlassian - they have also tested it and can't recreate your issue.
Their suggestion is to try different browsers and also an incognito mode of a browser.
As a matter of interest, which browser are you using?
Let me know if you still get nowhere.
