I see standard "Status" in my Jira Project with (To Do, In Progress, Done) as the only possible values under it. Though am an admin to my project, i dont see an option to add additional Status values to form a work flow. I would like to add few more, like ("New", "Reopen", "Retest") as Status under Issue Type Bug.
A similar relevant article is found in the help pages but the explanation given is not actually answering it. It talks about adding NEW ISSUE TYPE.
Is this a "Classic" or "Next Gen" project?
It's a NextGen project. Sorry I should have put in my post.

These don't have multiple workflows yet, so you can't add status for different issue types.

Alright. Thanks. Any plans of when this will be made opened to NextGen?

@Venkatnath Lokanathan hi, you can build a workflow in next gen project but not specific to an Issue type. Adding the workflow will effect the other issue types as well.
Suggestion: Usually teams use Service desk to track a reported bug which can be reopened, if required. Since software projects are based on Scrum/Kanban boards where we stick to "Definition of Done" and close it - reopening the issue might not be the right way.
Thanks & Regards!
