We have an issue type (issue type A) that uses a Security Level. The Security Level is added to the issue at the time of creation.

The project team would like to be able to add issue type A to an Epic that does not have a Security Level. The goal is that users with permissions will be able to see all issues associated with the Epic, including those with a Security Level, while users without permissions will only see the issues in the Epic without a Security Level.

Currently, when attempting to add issue type A to an Epic that does not have the Security Level, an error is displayed.

Hi @Jeanne Howe
Am I right that you get an error when trying to add Epic Name into the Issutype A?

Yes, the error occurs when we attempt to add the Epic link to the Issuetype A
