Add assignees to issues or risks

Hello, I am creating Issues and Risk in my project page. I have a pick list (dropdown) of assignees but I need to add more to choose from. How do I add assignees to dropdown so I can assign the issue or risk?

Could you please let me know the type of Assignee Field.

If this field type is User picker then check the User Filter.

To check the type and change the User Filter go to Admin --> Issues --> Custom Filed  

Find the Custom with Name beside to that it will show the type of Field and click on the Cog item then configure and there you will find the User Filter and all.

the field is a drop down user picker- if I manually type it in it says" person is not listed"  I need to add people to this list( user picker)

Ok, as i said in my earlier comment If the field is User Picker then there should be a User Filter has been configured.

Click on the Cog item beside to that field and choose to Configure so it will redirect you to another page and there you will find the option called User Filtering.

in the User Filtering option see what they been chosen like Group/project Role.

If it is Group with group Name then see is that user belongs to that group or not, if not then add the users to that group.

Do the same for if the User filter is selected as Project role.
