Add names(individuales) so I can assign issues.

I am brand new at Jira and Admin but I have a new project page and I created 79 issues. I need to assign them to the correct people. How do I add users to the assignee  list to pick from. I have admin rights, it that enough for this task?

@John EckhoffGo this project  PCF  as project  admin,  check permission scheme and see  which  role you  need to  add user to  have the (assignable user/browse project  permission)

add user to  this  role  in the project under (users and roles)

Also  make sure that  there is no issue security  added for this project if there is then you  need to  add user in this  security level setting.

yes, I see but in "permissions" it says you need to be an administrator to have issues assigned to you. That doesn't seem right, Can I change that(permissions) so a user can be an assignee ?

@John EckhoffJust  add another  role lets  say  developer ; Actions > Edit permissions > Grant permission > choose assignable user under permission  and project role developer( of course  you have other options)

and  then go  to users and roles in this  project and then  add these user to  this role(developer)

The ability to assign issues to a user is based on what users are added to the project and what roles they possess. 

By default, the "User" role should have this right. First you should add users in the "People" section under project settings under the "User" role. If you still can't assign them, check under project settings again and check the permissions tab.

There you can add the rights for assignable users and you can specify the role or group.
