Adding Initiative issue type and linking Epics to the Initiative on Software Projects

We are using Software Projects types for some of our projects.
How can create/add a new hierarchy - Initiative -> Epics
I have created the Initiative issue type on my project(see attachment 1)

But I cannot find a way to add to the Epics the "Parent Link" field so I can link the Initiative as the parent of the Epics

Thanks,

Samuel Bar

Hello @Samuel Bar

There is an additional step you're missing.

You need to go to the Hierarchy levels page and put you Initiative above the Epic, like this :

Once this is done, you will be able to see the Parent Link field.

Kind regards,

Julien

The Parent Link field is in the Epic, not the Initiative. :)

Can you see the "Parent Link" field in the "Custom fields" page of your Jira admins?

If it's not there, something's wrong.

If it's there, you should be able to see on which Screens the field is available, and probably make it appear on your Epics from there.

@Julien Peyrade _ Elements  - Roadmap only indicating Epics and Issues, would I be able to add Initiative on existing Roadmap for that project above Epics? Or do I need to create Plan?

If I need to create a plan for some reason It is not creating or disappearing when plan is created, unless I am missing something throughout the process.

The process, I am following: When I click on dropdown of Plans tab: I see recently viewed plans and Viall all Plans and Settings not a create plan option. Although, when I go to View all plans I see a Create Plan button on upper right hand corner, that's where I am trying to create a plan from. I am using a project and plan name and leaving it open.
