Adding notes manually to the calendar is no longer available.

I was using the calendar to add notes manually, but this option disappeared a week ago, and now I can only add epic stories, etc.

Does anyone know if this option has been removed or if it's possible to bring it back? Thanks.

Hi @Eva Ribeiro ,

Are we talking about Jira Calendar view here or something else? When you say "notes" what do you actually mean? Can you share maybe some screenshots so we get a better sense of what you're referring to?

Thanks for your message.

Yes, I'm referring to the Jira calendar, and yes, I'm referring to posting free notes, just like a new appointment in Outlook.

I've attached two images: the first shows the free notes, and the second only allows me to add and connect the note to the timeline.

@Eva Ribeiro apologies, I just came back from vacation.

Thanks for the screenshots.

So, in the second image, you're saying there was option/work item type named "Notes" which you could add? If so, it must be removed from the work type scheme and that's why you don't see it.

Now, as for the first screenshots, I'm not sure where that's from 🤔 It looks like something from Jira (or maybe Confluence), but it could also be from some Marketplace app. Can you maybe share some additional details about that view and what the focus would be on that image?

Both images are from Jira Calendar; the photos are before and after the Jira update.
My question is exactly that: how do I recover the original view because it's no longer available?

@Eva Ribeiro if that's completely native functionality, then I would recommend checking the official Cloud Roadmap and Admin Hub for recent releases on your site(s) - navigate to admin.atlassian.com > Products > Product updates. There you can (maybe) find release notes for this update you're seeing.

Hardly Atlassian makes any feature reverts, but if you're missing some functionalities, you can reach out to Atlassian Support and discuss it with them.
